    Avengers Toon

Anyone catch the Avengers previews this week?

They had five shows with 4 or so segments each. It looks like they were excerpts from upcoming episodes but just showcasing indivdual characters. Although Hawkeye and Black Widow were featured together.

The Cap/Bucky/Red Skull segment was well done although no mention of Nazis plus other changes.

The Thor/Wrecking Crew smack down was excellent.

They set up the Kang storyline and his motivations.

    Antman was even cool.

Nick Fury, Maria Hill, General Ross, Leonard Samson, Jane Foster, Pepper Potts, Asgard and the warriors, Black Panther, Mandroids, Klaw, Whirlwind all were featured.
Looks like it will be a good series.

Yep, looks good! It reminded me of the old 60s Marvel toon with it divided into short segments.

I think these are all set-ups for the series that offically premieres on Wednesday.

There are actually 16 or 18 sements. Youtube has them all in order from Marvel. Almost 2 hrs of set ups for the new series that starts Weds. Very well done.

I caught some of them, althought I started to get bored after a while. The animation was ok, but not spectacular. I thought the Cap one was probably the best. The news reel/intro bit was very well done. I wish they could have the Red Skull as a Nazi, since I recall him being one in the comics, but I know they're aiming this at kids so there's no way that will happen. Did anyone catch the Wolverine cameo as part of the Howling Commandos? I also thought the Thor one was pretty good, but wish they would actually call him the Thunder God, instead of the Thunderer. Do you think someone had a problem with referring to the characters as Norse Gods? They called Thor's father Odin, and mentioned his powers, but I don't think he was called a god at any point either.
It was cool seeing Black Widow and Hawkeye, but I wasn't impressed with the Hulk segments.

I caught the Cap one and Antman over the weekend, this is shaping up to be an interesting series.

My guess is that someone at Disney doesn't want to offend anyone. That might be why they don't call them "gods".

I liked it. the animation is a bit too clunky though. the characters look like those preschool superhero toys with the overlarge feet. story lines seem pretty good though.
I noticed the absense of the Nazi title as well, they had the whole set like Nazu Germany but instead os swastikas it was the Hydra symbol....oh well it is a kids show and even on TV shows for adults they cannot always show things like swastikas

I'm about half way through my DVR-ed inventory. I'm adjusting to the animation style. Reminds me a bit of ' The Batman' style. So far its decent. I just hope they develop the characters similar to JLU. The only real annoyance I have so far is the voice for Tony Stark. Its a complete mismatch!

Sounded like someone doing a Robert Downey impersonation to me.

The guy does have a Robert Downey jr thing going on but he also has kind of a Kevin Smith thing and that's who i now picture.

BTW Ant Man is Wally Wingert and he's a megohead.

I liked it well enough, and I really dug seeing the asgardians. At the same time I don't think they should have been so easily beaten by the frost giants without Thor.

Wally Wingert seems to be popping up a lot in stuff I like. I'm pretty sure he was the Riddler in the Arkham Asylum game. The first time you hear him talk as Ed Nygma, he sounds a little like David Cross.

I actually enjoyed the portrayal of Ant Man and the Wasp. Those characters never did much for me away from the team, but I like how they're handling them so far. They actually kicked a little butt

I don't like the the time slot they've got the second episode on. They need to move that junk they've got in the 8/7c slot to the 9/8c slot.
