Interesting that we can get this version of the Adam West Batman and Burt Ward Robin but are still waiting on the real deal '66 TV show
Nevertheless I'm looking forward to this as my bootleg VHS copy doesn't have the whole run of the 2nd part...just black screenThink OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging! -

I am shocked and pleasantly surprised at this news. Although it's poorly written and the production quality sucks, it's still part of DC history and I am delighted to finally be able to throw away the bootleg tape.
This certainly has been quite a year for surprise DVD releases. First, the long awaited releases of the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman and now, what I thought would be impossible, Legends of the Super Heroes. I am so buying it!!
Cheers.Comment

I don't mind the made to order stuff, if it means that it is going to get made. I'm assuming it will still be burned to an optical disc rather than the ones with the dye inside like you get at Staples. It's all good!Comment

Really wish Warners would release Shazam and Isis in this format or in stores.
The reason Warners can release this and not the 1966 Batman series is because they have the rights to the Legends production, but Fox has the rights to the TV series, even though Warner's owns the characters. It doesn't have anything to do with the actors themselves.Comment

I guess this made to order stuff means even the most obscure (and in some cases, embarrassing) stuff can get released.
I have a bootleg of Legends, and had an earlier one that bit the dust. I'll wait and read some quality reviews before I bite on this one.
I bet Alex Ross already pre-ordered one, don't you?

i will probably buy it. i have a pretty decent copy on VHS that I also transfered to DVD.
The Roast was REALLY bad but I liked The Challenge episode. It is just a must have part of live super-hero history. It aired at a time when there weren't a million other films and shows to chose from.Comment

Maybe with that new HUB channel showing it, the odds of it going to DVD will go up? One can only hope.Comment
