Although I love Zod in "Superman II", I'd hope they avoid the whole Kryptonian thing again...I think it waters Supes down when he's not the "sole survivor"....

I agree ... at least for the first movie... or second movie...
still...EVENTUALLY they really SHOULD explore Kal confronted
with someone from his home planet.. it makes for good drama...
but, to reiterate NOT in this "first" movie.

Brainiac DOES seem to be the logical choice as the adversary
for this first movie,
... altho.... I have to admit BIZARRO is a huge part of the Superman legacy,
and I'd love to see a "Bizarro movie" right off the bat.

Bizarro would be fine, but would work better in a sequel after we are familiar with this new Superman. To have an imperfect copy of a Superman we don't know yet may make it difficult to define Nolan and Snyder's take on the character.
