I can appreciate your own "ideal woman" stuff... altho' I can't see how it applies to this specific DCU character.
It'll never make sense to me that "all" superheroines have to have larger
breasts "including" the junior ones... how else is there any individualism
or contrast between characters?

I agree with your points Hue. There needs to be some variety in the Supergals. How old is this version of Supergirl supposed to be? I don't follow Smallville, but I was under the impression she was late teens/early adult, maybe 19 or 20. I think she looks perfect as Supergirl, just the way she is. Kara shouldn't look like a porn star.

Yes, when I say the following it's (instantly) come back to haunt me,
BUT I'll boldly say it anyway: "I'm no comic/DCU expert" and w/that said,
I've to say I've strong feelings towards these topics regardless of my
"cred"... many of those feelings formed/helped along by Timm/Dini's DCUA shows,

and, altho' I realize all interpreatations of Kara are to be different,
and that Timmverse's Kara is "really" young looking,
even tho' she doesn't have to be incredibly immature looking to me
in other incarnations such as SMALLVILLE,
I still like the distinction of the "younger age", the more "teen rebel attitude"
and, if possible, a physique that is almost the polar opposite of Superman's...

I find some inspiration in the irony of the unassuming diminuitive girl with
DCU's head honcho's incredible super powers.

If one wants a woman that has a different "more womanly" body type that
is ultra powerful, there is always WONDER WOMAN --and, to a lesser extent
POWER GIRL (and then of course all the other awesome DCU women down
the line from there that may fit this bill somewhat).

Helen Slater certainly wasn't "bodacious", even though they probably had her in a padded bra in the Supersuit. I think Laura Vandervoot portrays a beautiful vision of Supergirl.

Holy moholy that's a nice bod that Vandervoot has... never heard of her, but she looks quite a bit like a classic Charlize Theron in that 2nd pic to me.

The reason I like this one is because she has kind of that girl-next-door look, very much like the Silver Age version of Kara. Even a lot of modern artists draw her with that all-American teen look.
