I've never really cared for the wording of that intro. Batman was not created out of any COSMIC legend, he became Batman to avenge his parents death.

But yes, it's also always bothered me that Robin was never mentioned.

Not mentioning Robin over that chump Marvin was a huge slap in the face of the Teen Wonder.

He should, so he could sweep up after the other Mego figures go home....The Robin Mego of course, would be off making out with the Wendy Mego in the Batmobile...

Marvin got all eatin' and stuff by Wonder Dog. And they crippled Wendy.

Robin should consider himself lucky that he's relatively unscathed!

Batman and Robin, together, are one of the four cosmic legends. Back then the characters were viewed as a team, unlike the last 25 or 30 years when they appeared apart as much as together.

I agree.. Robin was like the guy who never get's invited to the party.. He's just expected to show up. I liked Robin much more than Batman, but a 'cosmic legend'..?? Perhaps..

I'm sure everyone recalls all those lame, early 60s 'have spaceship, will travel' sci-fi stories before editor Julius Schwartz came in with 'the New Look'..??

Heck Batman and Robin trotted around more planets than Reed Richards back in the day.

Yeah, what was that about? I read a few issues of Teen Titans featuring Wendy and Marvin, but had cancelled it by the time this happened.

                        Yep.

Unforunately it was a matter of ROBIN being an important enough
part of the "Batman legend" to be included in the cartoon,
and not of "little importance"/"lower ranking" enough
to be mentioned as a "junior detective".

They just want for something dramatic sounding. Just like when the Legion of Doom was "banded together from remote galaxies" Other than Bizarro & Brainiac not so much..

Funny thing is in my mind I can hear the Superfriends announcer saying "Batman & Robin". I guess it's probably not from the title intro if everyone else agrees he's not mentioned.
I don't own any DVDs of the show.
