Teri Hatcher is Lois Lane's mom!

I know most people here hate Lois and Clark The new adv. of Superman. Me I am in the minority that like the show. The last season was pretty lame but the first 3 had some pretty good episodes.

Anyway, they just announced that Teri Hatcher is going to be playing Lois Lane's mother on Smallville this year. It is going to be done by old video tapes Lois finds ( it was already mentioned on show her mom was dead)

Should be cool! Totally stoked about this season!!!!

I wasn't a big fan of Lois and Clark as a series but I found that Hatcher's characterization of Lois rang true to the Silver Age Superman and Lois Lane comics I enjoyed so much as a boy. Hatcher had a ditzy mania about her that somehow rang true for how I imagine Lois.

This is the cover of the earliest Lois Lane I remember reading. I got it from a used comic shop around 1964. Lois gets some junk in her Nosy Parker trunk when she gets zapped by an enlarging ray.

Sher cetainly looks healthy and toned now, but there was a period around Season 3 of Lois and Clark where she was anorexic compared to her debut in Season 1 where she was still displaying some fetching curves.





As hokey as the stunt casting can be, I always enjoy these cameos. It's particularly nice that she's overtaken her Lois Lane and Bond Girl days with Desperate Housewives, and this isn't a "Whatever Happened to..." type of guest spot.

Ya, and don't forget, Phyllis Coates played Lois's mom on Lois and Clark (first season, wedding to Lex episode.)

It's too good of a tradition to let it go.

I'll admit it...I still think Teri Hatcher is hot... Stunt casting, yeah, but I see nothing wrong with it...Heck, they began stunt casting from Day One on Smallville when Lana Lang was tapped to be Martha Kent

Hatcher was great as Lois and had a good chemistry with Cain (who was good as Clark, awful as Superman, IMHO). The plots were borderline horrible after the first season or so, with some really good ones thrown in here and there. But they actors were worth watching. I had a mega-crush on Hatcher, especially in season 1. She did get WAY too skinny in the later seasons.

Nice stunt casting. So Erica Durance's Lois has a mother who is a former Lois, and a Dad who is Darkseid and the Dark Knight Returns Batman! (Michael Ironside).
