The show went off the rails a bit when they killed Jonathan Kent. I think they did it a few season early, myself.

Good to see him back, but I wish they'd made him get a haircut first. Pa Kent ain't no hippie!

I actually would have liked to see Pa Kent get elected and go crusading amongst the politicians Jimmy-Stewart style before they capped him. I really think it would have raised the stakes even more if they gave him that extra season.

Nice to see him back for the final season.

I bet it's Clark briefly in the afterlife, and Pa gives him the advice that leads him to finally become Superman. Although it will probably take him all season, for dramatic effect.

I doubt it. I'd say Chris Nolan has the character sewed up in case he wants to bring him back in the next Batman flick. It's probably just a reference to the Biblical reference, since Clark is going to "rise from the dead".

i gotta say the man is a top guy in my book ,i was working a show in birmingham in the uk a couple of years ago ,and was lucky enough to meet john ,what a great guy ,now ive been on the show circuit for over 20 years and truthfully the guests are a bit of a pain in as much as they hog most of the disposable income of the show pattrons ,it seems to work like this travel to show x amount of £s ,£6 to park car ,£10 each to get in ,£10 to £25 per signature ,overpriced food and drink ,not much money if any to spend on the tables ,rant over but my wife and daughter came along pretty much to "see the bloke from smallville "he was so charming and nice my daughter wanted to give him something to take home for him and his family ,so she got a bo mego and dressed him as the man of steel and intended to give it to him the next day but alas she couldnt make it back ,so i was left to present her superman john ,with her custom superman ,feeling a bit stupid thats what i did ,passing on the message that although hid didnt play superman ,just his dad he was our lauras superman ,he was so pleased and nice and all round great guy , he said he remembered my wife and daughter and commented on how atractive they were,no husband and father ever gets tired :of hearing that ,right that damit if he didnt become my superman too to tell the truth i bet he would make a awesome superman ,he just has that charm and wholesome good nature and fairminded ness that i allways think of when i think of the best of america ,yeah i know its a corny ideal but whats superman if not a corny ideal

I've never heard anybody say anything bad about Schneider. He seems to take his Dukes fame in stride and is not ashamed of it at all. He's done pretty well to be so identified with Bo Duke as well.

I heard Tom Wopat can be a bit stand-offish though.

How are they explaining Pa Kent's comeback?

The Real Superman wakes up in his parents home and says WOW WTH was that crazy dream I had about my younger days. He goes downstairs and Ma and Pa Kent are having breakfast and he tells them about his silly dreams about smallville suddenly he hears jimmy's watch go off and excuses himself and is seen flying away in full Superman gear.............
