I don't think they fully explored the Clark/Kara relationship previously. She was more versed in her powers and Kryptonian, but Clark in turn was teaching her how to be human. They had quite a lot to learn from each other and I'm hoping that they get to mine that vein a bit more this time.

Does this mean that V is cancelled?

Laura Vandervoort's from Toronto. I's Gots to root for the home town girl.

"Kara returns in a very heroic way," Laura tells me. "When I found out this could be my last episode, I thought it would be great to see a quick glimpse of her in the uniform before she takes off." Lucky Laura's getting her wish!

"You really see her as Supergirl," says exec producer Kelly Souders. "Not the whole outfit, but her wardrobe will have evolved even a little more than Clark's. She's less Kara and way more Supergirl." Watch for Kara to don her new look for a photo shoot after she becomes a media darling following a heroic save that reveals her flying capabilities to the world. To protect her superhero identity, "You'll see Kara in the [brunette] wig and glasses [as] a bit of an homage to her other identity from the comics, Linda Lee Danvers," Laura says.

Might Clark be inspired to further define his own blurred personas? Souders hints, "Kara has a lot of input down the road in Clark's transformation into Superman."

No "V" will be back for a 2nd season....this is just a guest-spot for Vandervoort so she can do both roles....

I'm excited about the season too.
I LOVE Smallville...haven't missed an episode and even have the first 5 seasons (so far) on DVD but isn't that attitude (and action) just a bit oppressive?
Has it come to the point that we can't even post our true feelings on matters in here lest they be edited, erased or banned because someone else disagrees, making their opinion seemingly of a higher value?
            or are you being facetious?

The problem is not that people hate Smallville. I understand that and that's fine. The problem is when they insist on telling us in EVERY SINGLE THREAD about it. If I don't like a certain subject/show/movie I typically stay out of said thread. Smallville lovers would appreciate the same curtesy.

^Right-on. I have almost zero interest in Dr. Who, but I don't take a dump in every Dr. Who thread. I hate to use this term, but it sometimes feels like Smallville fans are being "bullied" for liking the show here. It ain't right.

I'm kinda sad this is the last season as well...but if Tom welling was to take the role in the new Superman Movie, then all would be right with the World!

My other hope is, that this will launch GREEN ARROW into his own TV Series!

Nothing wrong with that. Like any show, Smallville has plenty of "filler" episodes, but they pull out the stops on the event ones. Going all the way back to Season 2's Chris Reeve guest spot.

From the sound of it, this season will have plenty of event eps. Already we have the season opener, a Hawkman episode, Supergirl, and now...ISIS!?!

From what I read there it sounds like some serious fun is coming our way. Very much looking forward to it.

I've been waiting for the series to end so that I could cherry pick from
the "events". It's been a long wait.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Chris while i am not a fan of smallville I don't despise it and just don't care enough to comment unless something draws my attention to the show (like the JSA episodes) to tune the show in that week. You have the same opinion to Dr Who.
A better analogy to the venom seen against smallville by so many is the Classic trek vs the new film (or any trek spinoff), Prequel Star wars vs Original Trilogy "debates". The properties have a large fan base who are very rigid and tend to split along generational lines and love or hate one of the 2 sides. You are an exception who can embrace many superman forms each on it's own merrit without a need to say this is better than that. it's commendable.
