Leonard McCoy, Frontier Doctor from IDW

I missed the whole series on account I was laid-off when the first issue came out. I am getting copies from a friend of mine to read.

Did anyone here read it? What did you think about this mini which focuses on Dr. McCoy?

    I'm reading it.
It takes place in the time just before the motion picture.
So far I've read up to issue three and have been enjoying it.

IDW is always quick to release the collected trade version of their books so I just wait until then. In some cases the trades have hit before the last issue even comes out!!!

I just noticed that there is a Khan miniseries currently that details what happened between TOS and Wrath of Khan. That certainly interests me. I'll be picking that up in trade.

What how'd that slip under my radar???
Is it a comic adaption of the Khan books?

I'm actually quite "new" to Star Trek fandom (sparked by the new movie and ReMegos from Emce), so I don't know much about the Khan books.

Khan Returns in IDW Comic - Comic Book Resources

IDW Publishing is proud to announce the first-ever comic series based on the ultimate Star Trek villain, Khan! Coming in October, this four-issue series answers the question that all Star Trek fans have been asking for decades: What happened to Khan and his followers on Ceti Alpha V? Star Trek: Khan: Ruling in Hell answers just that, explaining how this once proud warrior-king turns into the grizzled maniac seen in Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan. To celebrate this next phase in Khan canon, IDW is offering an exclusive plush doll, available only through select comic retail stores.
