    Oh...fer Pete's sake!

    Why????

"The Chaos King is systematically destroying all the dimensions of the multiverse to make himself the sole thing in existence once again," Van Lente explains. "Among those planes destroyed are the afterlives, dumping everyone who used to be dead back onto the mortal realm again. Six of these dead are former Avengers."

Crap...how many times can we have the same basic plot sold to us with a tiny tweak emphasized as "the main difference". 1985 was 25 years ago.

In the twenty-five years from 1960 to 1985, we went from the dawn of the Silver Age to Crisis on Infinite Earths. 25 years later, we have mixed in some Zombies, but how many reboots do we need????

Wanna take a guess at what this team is named?

“B-Listers United?” “We Need Another Hit-force?” “Outta My Way, We Got Movies to Push?”

....er.... why does the Beast have boobs?

      >dumping everyone who used to be dead back onto the mortal realm again.

What an AWESOMELY novel idea! We haven’t seen THAT one for.... what, two months?

      *sigh*

      >how many times can we have the same basic plot sold to us with a tiny tweak emphasized as "the main difference".

Lots? One of the weird effects of reading the “Marvel Essentials” books is that you realize it’s all been done.... and probably several times before you were born. Every Fantastic Four story happens in the first 50 issues or so.... every Spider Man story in the first 10. Every Avengers in the first 25. Unfortunately nowadays they seem hellbent on pointing it out by making each recurring story a “special event.”

I'm reading THE VISION"s mind...and he's saying to himself: "Wow... I used to
hang with the A-listers...where did I go wrong?"
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

More than likely this is just another excuse by Marvel to keep Captain Marvel in the public eye ever few years or so to maintain the copyright...simple as that. They just had a 5-issue mini series a few years ago featuring the "return" of Captain Marvel who turned out to be just a Skrull in disguise

And another thing... Marvel is REALLY pushing the "Avengers" envelope lately with a slew of multiple titles, flooding the market, way in advance of the upcoming Avengers film.

According to Marvel, you shouldn't be smart enough to figure that out...

I hate it when they think we're that stupid.
