I liked the '80s version, and remember particularly a character with the power of decay/disintigration called the Red Death. Man, I could never quite get into that series. The concept was cool but something always seemed to be lacking and the heroes were kinda corny most of the time. Add that to the past-his-prime Infantino art at one point in the series and it just didn't click for me.
