Batman wouldn't need Captain America since he'd fill that role.

Vision is too Much Like sorta Red Tornado ... , And Bat's Built him a few times.

^ I was thinking more of the time period in which the actual comic cover is from....Batman didn't necessarily pick any powerhouses like Wonder Woman when he was forming the original Outsiders. Geo-Force was arguably the muscle of that team.

Similar thought process on Scarlet Witch/Zatanna...this would have been pre-mind wipe, so I can see Bats wanting a sorceress on his team....Batman dealt heavily with a lot of mystic dudes back in the 70s and might want someone on his side when he went up against them.

Vision may be an android like Reddy but his skill set is different. Intangability is black-opsish and that would appeal to Batman. Plus, I think Vision was a better constructed android than Red Tornado...he didn't come apart nearly as much as Reddy seemed to back then. Vision was also pretty powerful as far as strength goes too, so that's a bonus.

But I agree that Batman wouldn't want Hercules.....Hercules is a fun-loving braggart and that wouldn't sit well with Bats. Plus with Iron Man and Wonder Man and Vision on the team, you don't need Hercules' muscle.
