I'll will reinforce one opinion I think many share...how the F does Romita Jr. get work? Seriously, that's attrocious. Hey, here's a winning formula for a comic, have Kevin Smith write it, Romita do pencils and have Klaus Janson ink it. Well, Klaus isn't that bad, but he is sloppy and would make JR's stuff look worse.
I dunno what Red Hulk is doing with these guys as I don't follow Marvel stuff, but it doesn't look too promising.

Red Hulk was cool 'til they revealed him to be Thunderbolt Ross....Now he's just lame.
As for JRJR, he didn't seem to inherit anything from his pop....Look at those static poses ('specially Cap holding that gun)....nothing dynamic about that composition at all.
Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!

I'm with you. JR Jr. is either the fastest penciler going or has some seriously ugly pics of Joe Q. I'm also a fan of KJ, but he's a bad choice to ink JR. I can't look at their Avengers. And, I've been a huge fan of Bendis's Avenger's books.
Maybe McGinnis scaled back his mega-calves and thighs to work on Hulk, since almost EVERYONE looked like a Hulk in his old style! Appealing as it was, everyone had serious roid-rage. But it was pretty roid-rage, not ugly like Liefeld.
I've said it before, but I used to really like JRJR's work on Amazing back in the 80s. Then when he went over to X-Men, he found this...style he uses. He's gotten progressively more and more into it, and all traces of his former style are pretty much gone now. I don't care for it, but apparently some folks do.
Make not doubt about, JRJR was good at one time. His ealry eighties Spidey stuff is great but his modern stuff doesn't even look like it's the same guy drawing it.
I think McGuiness is really rushing through his assignments anymore.
I mentioned this to a couple of people when he first started the Hulk run with Loeb. It just wasn't the same as I was used to and really liked. I was first introduced to his work with the Superman/Batman series and Public Enemies. I just see so much more detail and espressiveness in that earlier work that I do now. Maybe some of that is his inker, but I'm just not impressed anymore. Maybe I'm wrong and there is no difference, but I certainly see something "off" in his style.
