I started reading DK Returns and still haven't finished it. I've had it over 10 years. Just don't like the art so find reading it difficult.

I think I prefer Bats grim but not extreme. BTAS was to me, the perfect blend. grim but light enough to enjoy and not depressing.

Not a big fan of Superman. Always foud him boring. 70s Batman stories are my favorite as far as comics go. brave and the Bold, Batman Family...

So you think red Hood would be ok for my oldest? Robin is his favorite character so not sure how he'd react to seeing Joker pummel Jason.

I like Batman grim & gritty, it's part of who he is. Love Frank Miller's Batman:Year One...and The Dark Knight Returns. Plus Chris Nolan's two Batman Movies. So I guess that shows my tastes in how I like to see Batman portrayed.

If you want "Sun Shine & Light"...that's what the "big blue Boyscout" is for.

    P.S. I don't have Kids...but I would let an 11 year old watch "Batman:Under The Redhood".

We (me, my wife, and our eight year old son, who had no problems at all with it) just watched this, and I have to say it was probably one of the best if not the best of the DC animated features.

I think I confused myself, though. All along, I was expecting Clayface to be revealed as the fake Jason Todd. Wasn't that what happened in the comics? And then Jason Todd didn't come back for real until Infinite Crisis, when he appeared alive in his coffin or something.

My 8 (almost 9 year old) watched it with me, but it's pretty intense. Your mileage may vary. An 11-year old would do fine I think.

Batman is not portrayed as extreme. It's a very balanced portrayal. It's one of the more human portrayals of Batman I've seen in some time. It also does a good job explaining Batman's moral code. Some great dialog about that.

Joe, as far as I can tell (again, I bailed on the comic storyline), the Jason in HUSH was Clayface. But the real Jason was already back, as evidenced by the mask Batman found in the Batcave shortly thereafter. He came a callin' in the "Under the Hood" story arc, and then Winick finally got around to coming up with a why in a Batman Annual around the time of Infinite Crisis. There he blamed Superboy Prime's continuity-altering punches for resurrecting the Toddster. Lame-o.

Oh, and of course there's the notion that Hush was meant to be Jason from the start, but Loeb and Lee had to change it due to pages leaking out before publication.

Yeah, I heard that story too. I wish the story had never leaked, and they hadn't changed the ending...and the Hush Story was "the return of Jason Todd"...and no Hush(Tom Elliot)Character PERIOD!

I think they're fixing a lot of the plot holes in the comic with the Red Hood The Lost Day's miniseries. Its been a good read but its only 2 issues in.

I loved Under the Red Hood (the movie). I picked it up the day it came out but I had watched it a few days before hand at a friends place. I think its the best DC Animated DTV to date.

I enjoyed the movie a lot. had a hard time accepting the Jokers voice though. I loved the way they drew him in this, kind of a cross between Dark Knight Returns and Batman Animated series. Voice just did not do it for me....minor complaint though, overall it was a great movie and I liked how they tied the death in the family storyline in. thought they should have had more blood during the beating portion, for a more realistic look, since the kid was beating hammered with a cown bar.

I loved this. My Daughter and I watched this(she is 7). That was bout the limit I would go. She thought the Joker was creepy. I liked this explanation much better that the comics. Great movie. Jonah Hex was great. The Superman/Batman apocolypse looks great.

I liked it. It's one of the best DTV so far. I liked Nightwing's part alot and wished for more from his part. I was agreeing with Jason, Why is the Joker still alive? I guess Batman gave his reasons but I agreed with JT. Bat's should have done him in a long time ago! I know they'd never kill Batman's best villian but hey I loved that part of the story.

Still Conroy for me too, but I liked Greenwood over the other non-Conroy voices on these DTVs.

I watched the Jonah Hex short...it makes me want an ongoing Hex animated series on Adult Swim or something! I liked how they made his scars look somewhat more practical. By shifting that flap of skin over, it looks like that is the edge of his mouth, and he has a gaping hole in his jaw, exposing his teeth. The music was fantastic. It felt like a Spaghetti Western!

Apocalypse looks great, although I think I'm going to miss Micahel Ironside as Darkseid. Andre Baurer is a fine actor, but his delivery seemed a bit too smooth for Darkseid. But we'll see.

My boys and I just watched this last night. We loved it. I never read the comic version and after reading the posts probably won't either. Winnick did a fine job with the writing. I'm impressed. Very much looking forward to the Apocalypse dvd.

World's Finest broke the news that Susan Eisenberg, Wonder Woman of JLU, will be voicing her again in Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. Works for me!

This was a Pretty Damn Good Cartoon !
I really enjoyed the Story ...quite a Bit ... and the Action Scenes are Fantastic.

I hated The Look of Nightwing, and his Hair, or lack there of. ...
He was written Well, But I feel Doogie Was off His Mark with the Deliverance of his Voice or Something. ...

Same with the Joker. It just didn't feel right to me.

The Hex toon was Fun ...

                                I can't wait for the Next 1.
