      Different era...different times.

In today's world...for some reason, it's a lot more obvious.

as a Cap fan, I am used to disappointment, why? there have been 1 or 2 accurate figures, and most any time the costume is wrong. In the x-men cartoon he had red undies? what kind of crap is that? not even going to list the 70's tv movies flaws. In action figure form, He sometimes is missing ears, eyeballs, cuffs, gloves, you name it. I declared the look a fail from the get-go. especially because it always leads to them changing the comic look.

Read this on the internet, could mean the more traditional suit near the end where I assume he will be frozen in ice ready for the Avengers movie.

                It's probably his WW2 outfit.

i thought the same of keaton who i LOVED in Johnny Dangerously, Mr. Mom and Beetle Juice

I winds up he was a pretty good batman.

                  -----

As far as the picture and costume - i agree with those who are reserving judgement until they can actually see the costume or even know if this is the whole thing.

The one flaw in your theory is that those actors were pretty good.
                      pretty average
                      Chris Evans is not.
                      is also average
He sucked as The Human Torch (in two **** movies to boot), and not only was he bad in them, he was the worst part.
just the opposite - he was decent. the rest of the movie sucked - especially doom, directing, and script

Let's also mention the fact that they ****ed off ALOT of the fans off by giving the part of Nick Fury to Sam Jackson.
To me, that was too stupid. Bruce Willis in a wig would have been a thousand times better.
                      i think SJ is perfect

Joe Johnston hasn't done anything worth a damn since Rocketeer, and even that wasn't that great. Take out Jennifer Connelly and it's kind of a snooze fest. Why would you pull him out of the water? Is he the only game in town too?
I LOVED EVERYTHING in the Rocketeer

For the record, put your money on Green Lantern. At least DC is playing it tight, and for my money, slow and steady wins the race, always.

                      Just my 2 cents.
the strange thing is Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans are basically the same - so, why do you think GL would be better than CA?

The movie is going to be bookended by modern day Captain America, so it's a WW2 flashback. I am most impressed with Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull, who described his mask as "latex pieces" in an interview, so it sounds at least in principle that they aren't repeating the Green Goblin mistake.

It's probably just me, but if this is supposed to be Cap's WWII outfit ... I don't know. It seems plastic. It just feels like the materials are wrong. I would have prefered something closer to the Ultimate Cap WWII outfit.

                          Hey! Check out the pictures.

I could be wrong, but I think the "At least Mego got it right" comment was total, complete, unabashed sarcasm.

                            I could be wrong, though.

                              1) Brue was being sarcastic.
                              2) The Nick Fury of the Marvel Ultimate universe IS African-American.

                              4) Why are you so angry? You have an opinion, and that's great, but not everyone has to agree with you.
