All Star Superman next DC Animated Film!

So it loks like DC's animated features aren't dead as reported, but the next few releases seem to be dominated by Batman and Superman.

JLU's Dwayne Mcduffie is adapting it! He also wrote the recent Crisis on Two Earths JLA movie, also loosely adapted from Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's graphic novel.

They weren't listed as "dead". It was said that they will be focusing on more Batman/Superman/JLA properties though. Aside from the GL stuff to tie in to the movie next year. They cancelled a WW and GL 1st Flight sequel. They also cancelled the Titans and Batgirl dvd too. I am interested in seeing the All Star Superman story. I wonder how they will trim it to fit into the 70 minutes they usually have.

I'd be interested in this...if the Art doesn't try to emulate Frank Quitely's style.

This should be cool. There's no way they can adapt Quitely's style straight. Some of the puffiness and wrinkles will have to go.

Considering that All Star Superman was one complete story with alot of little bit expanded, it should be easy to trim.

Superman saves the Solar explorers and gets a deathly dose of Solar Radiation, realizes he's been wasting time in not getting stuff done and that now with his time coming to an end he decides he has to get on the ball.

Tells Lois the truth and develops a serum for her to have superpowers for one day. Shows her the Fortress and we see him release the Sun Eater baby. He releases Kandor.

Confronts Luthor. Luthor steals the serum.

Superman is depowered under the Red Solar radiation from the Tyrant Sun that's working with Luthor, and fights a super powered Luthor.

Sun Eater baby returns full grown and defeats the Tyrant Sun but the damage is done, and Superman finds his last act must be to restart the Sun to save the Earth with all that extra radiation he has in his system.

I'd like to see it done in a Superfriends style, considering how the whole story is meant to fit into the Julie Schwartz era of Superman.

                    Sounds like a Country Song.

(I'm kidding around. Your plotting is great. I like to say, "Sounds like a Country Song" after any kind of detailed description of just about anything.)

That is quite a bit of story to pack into a direct to DVD movie though. I do hope they fit in Bizarro and Zibarro.

Oh I dunno....I think sometimes you can have TOO much Batman exposure:

I would like to see more focus or direction on New Idea's ..., Like WW & GL rather than the consistant re-hash of Comics . I like all these toons ..., but Man, I'd like to see something New too.

Since they do these 3 times per year, I'd be perfectly happy with:
                              1 Batman
                              1 Superman/JLA type
                              and
                              1 other.

The other could be a Flash or a JSA or something else. I know Supes and Bats sell the most but, that should leave the door open to make 1 title per year that isn't Bats or Supes related.
