Dean Cain is also showing up this season as a villian.

So who are the notable actors from Superman's past that have yet to appear? Gene Hackman seems very unlikely. Ditto Teri Hatcher given the success of Desperate Housewives. Not sure if the surviving Superboy actor is really high profile enough.

Helen Slater is still a very pretty lady. Great casting choice there.

Both Superboys are still around, and acting. John Haynes Newton and Gerard Christopher are a little low-profile for stunt-casting though.

Oddly enough, Jack Larson and Noel Neil have yet to be on Smallville, although they were both in Superman Returns.
