Mark Evanier posted in his blog today that Barnes and Noble's web site has that huge Completely MAD Don Martin 1200-page, two-volume slipcased hardcover set for only $19.98. This monster originally sold for $150.

I picked this up about two weeks ago for $25 at Barnes and Noble and it is awesome...especially at this deep of a discount. I wanted it when it was $150, but that was too much.

Even if you aren't a fan, it is a beautiful set. It weighs as much as a cinder block!!!

Okay, I actually ordered two to get free shipping. As heavy as they are, I cannot imagine that shipping isn't in the realm of $10-20.

Smart move, especially if you know another fan. It would make a great gift to someone who is a MAD or Martin fan.

It is ridiculous how much this set weighs, but it a beautiful set. You don't see a lot of books put together this well in mass-market. Even if one never read the thing, it would look nice on a shelf!
