Harvey Pekar Has Died

I had just finished reading an interview with him in the new Juxtapoz (art and culture) magazine when I heard the news. Ive got the American Splendor DVD but no longer have any issues of the comics. it really is a shame for sure.

He used to come in my theatre. As a matter of fact, I ran American Splendor for him and his family when they came in. It was a huge deal when that premiered at our theatre. Of course, he didn't come to see it until all the hoopla died down. He seemed very nice and quiet in real life. He will be missed.
