    Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated!

Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated on Cartoon Network

    Premieres Monday July 12 @ 7pm ET!
Check out this weekly series that's an update and an homage to the original Scooby-Doo series. I have been lucky enough to be a background painter on this show and it's the coolest thing I've ever worked on. Set your DVRs and tell the kids!

Monday's episode is the same one they showed in the Sneak Peak in April, a new episode every week after that. I think they are showing 5 times a week at different times, so you'll have plenty of chances to catch it.

This is timely. We played a Scooby boxed set on the long vacation drive a few weeks ago, and my kids love him. My twins actually hum the theme on most car rides now. I hope Scooby gets hot again so they make more of the 2" figures.

Told my kids it was back on and they demanded I add it to the TiVo To Do list.

I forgot it was coming on - Lily of course did not. We have the DVR set to record the series!

New episode tonite! "Creeping Creatures" This episode is the one I painted an audition BG for and ended up doing most of the background keys for. VERY excited to see how it turned out!

Great episode. Loved seeing the Griswalds and their Family Truckster.

Scott, this episode had some of the moodiest, creepiest backgrounds I ever saw on TV before. When I was watching I was wondering if you had a hand in this. Bravo man, you guys have brought back the moody atmosphere of Scobby that's been missing since the first two seasons, 40 years ago!

Thanks, Chris. Credit really goes to the Art Director, Dan Krall (Samurai Jack, Coraline), he developed the look and technique we use. I did a lot of good painting on that episode based on his intructions, then when I was done he tweaked them to make them look 100 times better. It's been great to work with such talented people. My favorite one I did was the hallway of the hotel with the paintings in it, and the outside of the hotel.

I was amazed at all the lighting changes and special effects. The color was incredible and the orange lightning was very cool.

Just watched it w/my boys. (I was in and out of the room doing other things as well) They loved it. I guess whatever is up between Velma and Shaggy is a sign of the times, along with the other light innuendo. Your backgrounds were the best part for me. It was like a new cast got to use an old classic set.

                              Song of Mystery

Last week's episode was one of the more disturbing ones we've done. I got to paint most of the Night of the Living Dead inspired house in this sequence.
