To be honest, I don't think I've ever read a story with Bludhaven in it, but I always thought it was a lame comic book idea to name a town something as revolting and unmarketable to normal people. As in, "Oh, I want to move to Bludhaven because I heard the schools are wonderful there!" "Bludhaven is a great place to raise children!" It's just ridiculous.
Man, this is exactly how I feel about that name. It's the pinnacle of poor fictional town name choice. It reeks of 90s marketing.
