    Sweet Batman pick-up!

I was in a used book store on my lunch break today, looking for something for a kid, and I happen to find this little goody:

The Greatest Batman Stories Ever Told Hardcover, 1988 - eBay (item 260628461764 end time Jul-30-10 17:58:25 PDT)

for a mere $12! It has 26 stories in it. Very cool! I'd pay more than that for as many comic books now. Awesome!

I have the companion to it. The Greatest Joker Stories Ever Told. I got it for my birthday in 1988. My Dad had to send away for it. I still have it and read it now and again.

Sounds like you got a great deal!

Great book! I still have my dog-earred Greatest Batman and Joker hardcovers. I pretty much agree with every story in those books. My absolute favorite Batman story of all time "To Kill a Legend" is included.

I have it in softcover.....don't much care for anything pre-Silver age, but about midway through, it starts getting good.

I can't say "Greatest ever" since it glosses over a LOT of great stories, under the excuse that they are reprinted frequently....

but it DOES feature the first appearance of Deadshot in his now-iconic costume!
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

I have the softcover versions of this, Greatest Batman vol. 2, Greatest Joker and even Greatest Superman. There's all great. Congrats on the pick up.
