    Kamandi action figure? ever made?

Did any toy line ever make a Kamandi action figure? I could see that being a decent seller back in the 70's. And i would think for sure that these days collectors would jump on a quality made Kamandi toy, yet i searched and cant find info if one was made?

Don't think there has been one to date, not even from DCDirect.

Kamandi would be cool, so would Ben Boxer and a few of the supporting characters ... all MEGO style, of course!!!
I also play with other dolls:

Nope. No Kamandi figures have ever been made. If the DC Direct Kirby New Gods figures sell well, maybe they will consider other Kirby properties. I'd like to see Kamandi, Etrigan and the 70s Sandman get made myself!

The question brings up an interesting thought. For all the corners of the DCU that JL & JLU explored, it never got to Kamandi. Interesting. I wonder if the creators would have eventually got there and what their take would have been?

I'd like to see a Kamandi and OMAC (original) 2 pack. There's a wealth of great characters for DC Direct to mine instead of continually putting out variations on the Superman/Batman figures.

Bruce Timm has gone on record several times saying he LOVES Kamandi. He even proposed a Kamandi animated series to WB at one time, but insisted that it be done in Kirby style, or not at all. They passed. I believe he also wanted to get to Kamandi in JLU, but never did, for whatever reason. Its a real shame, because other than maybe the Metal Men and the Doom Patrol (who were featured on the Titans toon), the classic concepts of the DCU made it into JLU one way or another.

I believe Kamandi and Conan are the two properties Timm most wants to bring to animation at some point.

If you watch the SAS Turpin Burial scene Komandi is there (as are most of Kirby's creations for DC) just don't blink since the episode was an homage to Kirby after his passing

Bruce more than likely would have thrown him in if JLU had gone one more season. He told Toyfare in an interview once if it had gone one more season,he wanted to do mostly time travel stories. So I'm sure Kamandi would have shown up.

Stupid Cartoon Network ... or whoever made the decision to end JLU.

Anyone think its possible DC put a lockdown on Kamandi, since he was whitewashed out of continuity by the 85' Crisis mini-series?

I never liked the merging of the megaverses concept. the loss of such great characters as Kamandi, and the total screw job the Golden Age heroes got (especially Huntress) just left a sour taste in my mouth.

He's popped up since Crisis...there was a Superman Elseworlds book off the top of my head. And he might've been in the old Superboy series (Kon-El's). And I know he had a cameo in the Superman/Batman title recently.

I was never a crisis fan either (And obviously there are enough of us unhappy with post crisis continium that DC has tried to reinvent it's universe a few times since (armageddon, zero hour, infintitte crisis etc). Timm showed consistantly he had no issues bucking DC trend (Legends while not the JSA is clearly an alternate earth story) and apparantly the only reason it wasn't the JSA was because the justice guild was to be killed and Dc wouldn't allow it so Timm and Co made equivalents that are obviously the JSA but meet DC's approval.

I'm trying to remember where, but Buddy Blanks (OMAC) recently showed up in the DCU with his Blonde infant grandson in tow. Was it Countdown? (not that anyone's reading Countdown anymore).

A bunker named Command D has been built under the remains of Bludhaven.
