Y'know, that's the kind of thing that would have made a great cover to a possibly cool or funky-strange one-shot story (maybe a fill-in) back in the 70s . . . these days, though, it'll no doubt be part of a strange six-part story arc with continuity ramifications that endure until the next writer comes along.
Really, I do miss the comics of the 70s through the mid-80s . . .
That Iron Man cover is clever. Is this some kind of company-wide stunt? If it's just a month of issues, it could be fun. If it's in continuity, and sticks, as knight said above, it will suck (pun intended).
"This Twilight thing is running wild and that gave me an idea. We'll make a bunch of characters become vampires! And then when the readers say our comics suck, we'll say of course they do, they're filled with vampires! And just when we've exhausted every possibility with the vampire storyline, we'll make a bunch of characters into werewolves! And then we'll revisit our hugely successful Civil War motif with Civil War: Monsters! Vampires vs Werewolves! Maybe we'll even talk to Stephanie Meyer and get permission to include her Twilight characters in a special crossover issue! It's a win-win situation! Let's ride this Twilight craze all the way to the bank! We can't lose with this one! I'm a genius!" - Marvel Executive
