BATMAN: Year One is something I've wanted to done for a long time! I hope they get right, and I hope it's longer than 90 minutes...because half the story is Jim Gordon story, and I don't want to see them shorten it...but removing Jim's half of it. Fingers crossed that they do it RIGHT!

Yeah, I'm stoked about this. Year One is one of my favorite Batman stories. It's definitely Miller's best take on Batman. He left out all of this crazy over-the-top stuff for this one. Well Catwoman being a hooker was kind of over the top, but his treatment of Batman was much less...nuts than in DK, and especially DK2 and All-Star Bats.

I hope they adapt Mazzuchelli's art style. That would be one slick looking film!

I loved the nods to year one in Mask of the Phantasm and in the JL season 1 finale. I hope this is true esp if Bruce T is producing it ought to be a homerun

Well Catwoman being a hooker was kind of over the top, but his treatment of Batman was much less...nuts than in DK, and especially DK2 and All-Star Bats.

Frank Miller seems to really like hookers. Or at least writing about them.

I love Year One and the Dark Knight Returns but his recent Bat stuff didn't sit well with me. Especially All Star. I had never actually thrown a comic book away but after reading the first 2 issues of that, I tossed it in the garbage and didn't look back. It wasn't a Batman I wanted to read about or support.
