Wow That Totally SUCKED! Sandy's Batman Dead End Film Is the best Batman movie short Ever!!
That Batman looked like a stiff steroid freek Joker was LameO and the story sucked and was slow moving....in 8 minutes BDE left me wanting more this didn't..... -
I hate to criticize someone's work like this as I know he put his heart into it, but this was not good at all. He's a Batman fan and one who put nearly 30 thouseand dollars into making this dream project, but his vision was a little off. His camera work is pedestrian at best, the story is weak and the acting is attrocious.
I'll give him props for getting this done, but I think in this case less is more. Sandy can tell you that. He could have cut out about fifteen minutes of dialogue and really delved into the meat of the story. Everyone knows who Batman is, so revisiting the alley was a waste. He could have saved money not renting a Farrari for those shots.
Not terrible, but far from good.

Not terrible and to tell the truth I found his batman's dialogue/speaking better than Christan Bales last growling attempts.
I would also be remiss if I didn't note the similarities between this one and Sandy's version.
Similar costuming/appearance for both Bats and Joker. But then really how much different can you make them!?!?!?Last edited by fallensaviour; Jun 21, '10, 7:15 PM.“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

I thought it was ok. Much better than the dredge I've been given by Hollywood.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Could I criticize casting or dialogue or other aspects? Sure. But for a minimal amount of money, we got a 25 minute Batman film that gives enough history of Batman, Joker, Arkham, Gotham, etc to follow along. Was Sandy's a better looking film? Of course, but did it tell a better story, could it not be criticized for other aspects? These are not all encompassing 3 act plays (although this one tries). I am just glad we get people willing to produce fan films that show a vision of Batman that the studios aren't willing to. This obviously was inspired by Sandy's work, and although not up to the same cinematic quality, I'd hope he is honored that others are following in his unofficial DC footsteps.
Batcycle... nice touch. As was exploding the bomb via Bathook/grapple gun thingie. The logo was pretty cool too. Cameo by Black Canary... I liked it. Scarface, never was much of a fan, but it was done well. Not the worst way to spend 25 minutes surfing the web.

I enjoyed the entire production. Although the film was not as good as Sandy's, the story was just like reading the comic. Sure the acting was off for some characters: for instance, the guy playing the Joker was completely non-convincing in every aspect. Everything from his appearance to his demeanor was simply off. However, I really enjoyed the performance from the actress portraying Harley, and all the cameos was a nice touch.
Overall the film was fairly well done, lacking the cinematography that Sandy brings to a set, but fairly well done."Procrastination is the art of planning for tomorrow."Comment

I thought it was interesting...brutal, but interesting. I've always prefered the campiness of the 60s series, Superfriends or both Filmation toons to the Dark Knight version of Batman."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

I think some of the reviews here are a bit harsh. I actually enjoyed the movie, even tho it does have some bad points. I agree the Joker was a bit of a let down. The voice didn't work for me and his laughter wasn't nearly as maniacal as it should've been. But the cameos make up for that. Great seeing Harley Quinn and Scarface in a movie for a change. The Batbike was pretty cool too.
The guy playing Batman really looked the part: great physique and very cool costume. Interesting Batemblem. But Batman as a narrator? Nope, didn't do it for me, most of that dialogue was either irrelevant or superfluous. Basically, everything after Joker's death could've been scratched.
All in all, I liked it and I applaude the maker for stepping up and creating his dream.Last edited by Meule; Jun 22, '10, 5:37 PM."...The agony of my soul found vent in one loud, long and final scream of despair..." - Edgar Allan PoeComment

I think the Batman's epilogue went on a little long, but other than that it was all right. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment
