From what bits and pieces have been leaked over at Dark Horizons, Hulk is in it big time...He's under the control of someone who has sent him on a rampage....The avengers are brought in to stop him.
Hawkeye is rumored to be in it, as is Pym, but I'm not sure which version of him.

Honestly,from what I've read, it sounds like if you took the Ultimate Avengers first series/cartoon DVD and tweaked it a bit, you have the script for the live action film.

I thought that too, but after seeing Iron Man 2 a second time, I think maybe Fury meant that the Avengers: Initiative is changing gears, where they won't need Tony Stark, but they still need Iron Man, and Stark is Iron Man. In other words, it's getting more super-heroey.

Just a guess. If they don't have Downey Jr. as Iron Man, they're missing their anchor for the Avengers movie.
