Found this picture from "World's Finest" of Mike O'Hearn as Supes. I think it really captures the essence and majestic nature of the character. I know you guys are huge fans of big blue... Enjoy.
yeah but would that guy be believable as Clark kent?
If the guy can act, he could. Besides the movie isn't going to be called Clark Kent or Clark Kent Returns Again or Clark Kent V or whatever.
The movie is Superman and that is the character that should be front and center. It wouldn't bother me at all if he didn't change into Clark but once or even at all in the next film.
There's been 9 years of Smallville, four or five years of Lois and Clark and Superman Returns to fiddle around with Clark Kent.
I want to see Superman doing things only Superman can do with a believable looking Man of Steel. I'll suspend belief if he looks too brawny as Clark Kent. Besides they can just put him in bigger suits and have him stoop.
The whole idea behind Clark Kent is that nobody is supposed to even consider that Superman has an alternate identity. Lois Lane is actually the smart one to put two and two together and see something no one else does.
I actually heard O'Hearn auditioned for Superman Returns. It's a shame, he really captures that Alex Ross Superman look.
I was lucky to get one of the Superman heads (along with Batman too) and now I just need to find the right body for him. I'm waiting to see how it looks on a Zica body before I commit.
And as for Clark Kent... well, regardless of the mixed opinions on Frank Quitely's artwork, I thought he tackled the question of a muscular Superman converting to Clark Kent nicely... Make Clark slouch and look slightly out of shape, like a big doughy farmboy.

I know it's Superman and not Clark Kent, but you still need one who could pass as both..you can't have some huge *** guy playing Kent...
he does look good as Supes, but I need a dude who could as both
I am a huge fan of Superman too...(I even have a Super tattoo)...my Mike O'Hearn Superman is going to look stunning in my custom Supes collection...thanks to you Sandy... I am also waiting on a Zica body for him.

I really wasn't trying to start an argument and my previous post came off harsh when I didn't mean it too. I'm just tired of a skinny Superman. Reeve ultimately grew into the role but there are some shots in Superman I and II where he is terribly skinny. Primarily, stuff in the fortress of solitude.
While Routh isn't exactly skinny, to me Superman would look better with a bigger chest and more developed arms.
Superman is a relatively big guy in the comics (6-2 or 6-3, 225 to 235 solid muscle) and he doesn't shrink when he dresses as Clark. He's mild mannered, non-assertive. Someone who would never wear a Superman uniform. He just blends into the background. He may stoop a little, cover his physique, but he's still a big guy.
