Daredevil reboot now being kicked around

During an extended family gathering today for the holiday weekend, I decided to put in Daredevil as sort of background fodder, as we sat around and gabbed. About a third of the way in, everyone turned their attention to the movie and stayed captivated until the end (most of whom had never seen it). I found that interesting since most I know regard this initial offering as fair at best (I liked it myself). Later I checked the net to see if there were any plans to revive this character and I found some recent news that seems to suggest this is the case. See report below. What do you think? What would you like to see in the reboot? I feel confident the outfit will lean more towards the comic rendition, although I will say I liked the conceptual design they gave the first effort.

Personally, I feel...DareDevil was a FAR better Comic Book Movie than the first 4 Batman Movies. It took the Material seriously...which they deserve credit for.

I was surprised by all the negative responses to Daredevil when it first came out. I always thought it was very well done.

I liked the movie. I own both the theatrical and directors cuts and they are both really good. I never understood all the negativity about it. it was far better than a lot of the other comic movies that were being put out prior to it.

I didn't get that either. All I can think is it must've been some kind of organized fan-boy backlash against the casting of Ben Affleck? While I did not enjoy his George Reeves portrayal (all I could see was Affleck with a rubber nose) I did like Daredevil. My beef with the Daredevil movie was the Kingpin casting. I hate when movies/tv shows change established things like races or sex for no reason. Kingpin is supposed to be a fat white dude.
I, too, thought DD was better than a lot of comic movies at the time. Not better than Superman or '89 Batman or the first X-Men (and I am NOT an X-Men fan, believe me) but better than many others.

I wanted to like Daredevil but the music-less dance scene between Murdoch and Natchios at the children's playground killed all hope with me and my friends when we saw it. There are many nit-picky flaws in the film I could list and I would get past them but that scene makes absolutely no sense.

The only thing I didn't like about "Daredevil" was the CG. In the really wide shots when DD was jumping around on the rooftops and fire escapes, he has what people in the industry call "Woody Syndrome"... Meaning that the CG version of the character, moves like Woody from Toy Story. The joints seem to not move quite right and the character winds up looking fake, simply because of the way they move. The stormtroopers in the "Star Wars" special edition Tatooine scenes have the worst case of it anyone's ever seen or even heard of... Look at the trooper who jumps off the dewback. He's probably wearing a cowboy hat under his helmet...
