^ I always wanted to see the proposed "The Silver Age" follow-up. I'm not sure now though that Robinson could pull it off at this point....His writing seems to have lost some of its luster.

Any of the DC Showcase books, but especially Enemy Ace, the House Of Mystery, Jonah Hex, or Phantom Stranger ones.

And if you like mystery/detective stories, try & find a copy of The Maze Agency by Mike Barr & Adam Hughes (his earliest work). Comico did one in the '80s, but I think IDW reprinted it. Jon Sable Freelance by Mike Grell is a good one too.

Are you all caught up on Hellboy TPB's too? My friend Nick was really on about The Spirit. Don't watch the film. Read the collections first. Ever read Astro City TPB's? How about Earth X from Marvel?

^ Earth X is a good one! There's also the Universe X and Paradise X sequels, depending on how far you want to get into the concept.

For non-superheroics, you can't go wrong with one of the Jonah Hex TPBs

I was kind of excited by the hinted Silver Age sequel too, but I think Robinson himself mentioned that there wasn't much point in pursuing the Silver Age idea once Darwyn Cooke came out with New Frontier.
