And I LIKE Jessica Biel, at least I have since Blade: Trinity. But she's NOT Wonder Woman, no matter how hot she gets. I haven't seen any mainstream actress who measures up to the bar Lynda Carter set.

From the small screen, Sarah Lancaster (Everwood, What About Brian) seems to have the looks and charisma.
Gotta agree there I think they need to find a wowam who is statueque since Diana is always drawn as tall and well muscle toned. I think Jessica is quite pretty but a little to slight for the role.
No ideas come to mind but like others I think they should go for an unknown or lesser known name. I don't think we need an actress to fill the late 80's Perez style, maybe a fitness model/actress

I'm not sure. I guess she could pull it off. I didn't think Jessica Alba could be the Invisible Woman but Alba has shown she has the acting chops to make Sue Storm more than just a waspy heroine.

I think Beil will have to do some working out tho and gain some muscle mass. She has a great body but she has to sort of look like she has some super-strength. If she's super-model thin I don't think her acting could make it believable. Lynda Carter was not a super-thin woman but the style back then was 70's and she didn't have to be overly thin. She had a cuvacious bod. Not fat-but a good body.

I think they could do far worse if they want to cast a "name". Biel is athletically built enough for the role. May be a little more slight in build than most interpretations of Wonder Woman, but what Super-Hero actor hasn't been smaller than their comic counterpart?

well to me she is an unknown as I don't know this actress at all. I think by the look of her face she could pull it off. I don't see her body so hard to give my thoughts on it.

I love George Perez's Wonder Woman.

At least Biel has the physicallity to play the roll. I would still prefer someone a bit more ethnic.

yeah that chick was hot,but way to young I think.I know Jessica's a little thick in a good way,by I'm sure she could really get ripped for this role

Jessica Beil is of course attractive, but her mannerisms remind me too much of my sister so it kind of ruins it for me.

Whoever they pic can't be Hollywood thin IMO. Sorry but the 90 lb frame does not a WonderWoman make. Wonder Woman needs a little Bodda Boom. Know what I mean?

On one hand I'm in total agreeance---on the other---I'll say this---

When I first saw and heard WW on JL I thought---woah---she's too thin and
has too high/cute of a voice to be "playing" this role

I originally pictured her to have the build and the voice type that eventually went to the
BIG BARDA character once she was introduced in JLU

                      Anyways...
Over a few episodes I forgot my hangups about the more diminutive WW
and went with it because it seemed to work---and, well, she was hot---
you know, in a "Jessica Rabbit" kind of way

I agree, if they would have got the lead out their pants years ago Julie Strain would have been a perfect choice! She's tall, built, and looks good in a comic book role.

I dunno about now though, haven't seen her lately.

But if you compare the drawn JL wonder woman with the other female characters in the TIMM style (catwoman, harey quinn, poison ivy, lois lane etc) she is much taller and broader shouldered (even than hawkgirl who is a physical character in her own right). She is close is height to timm's batman who towers over most others except superman

I don't think you have to find a woman with a larger chest if her physical presence and mucle tone are such that she looks "powerful"

Jessica Alba was a known commodity in the FF cast because of Dark ANgel. and from a characeter perspective sue storm was never a physical hero so a somewhat dimunitive frame enhanced the casting. Wonder womman supposed to be about 6"0 or so (I think Linda Carter was actually 5"10 without the boots).

I'm kind of glad actually. I haven't thought she was a good pick since the beginning when these rumours started. I definitely think that they need to go for someone with a "darker" look - darker hair, olive skin and someone who is a bit leaner, not thin, but a little more lithe looking.
