^Yeah same here. My son begged for it, we caught it on sale, and I was kind of in and out expecting maximum suckage. It's actually one of the better DTV movies.

Of course, Modern Marvel had to make them killers. Nice. Way to bring the kiddies in.

Is it a new ongoing or mini series? My kids loved the DTV also and will pick this up for them. They are just starting to get into comics.

With that exchange, Torunn became my favorite character, too! I picked it up with the kids because it was on the "free with any rental" shelf, and it surprised me how much I really enjoyed it.

Next Avengers was surprisingly better than most of the other Marvel direct DVD animated films coming out around that time.

James Rogers, the son of Black Widow and Captain America;
Henry Pym Jr. (or just Pym), the son of Giant-Man and the Wasp;
Azari, the son of the Black Panther and Storm of the X-Men
Torunn, daughter of the absent Asgardian Thor and Sif
Francis Barton: Son of Hawkeye and Mockingbird.

I think a better question is, who HASN'T Black Widow knocked boots with? She's got notches on her headboard for Red Guardian, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Iron Man, Winter Soldier/Bucky Cap, Hercules, The Punisher, Nick Fury, Wolverine, The Crimson Dynamo, Captain Kirk, Ghost Rider, Scarlet Witch, NFL Superpro, Kool Aid Man, Willy Lumpkin, all of US1, Bugg from The Micronauts, Adam West AND Frank Gorshin, ROM, Oprah, Ringo Starr, Captain Carrot, The Flaming Carrot, Carrot Top, "Rascally" Roy Thomas, John F Kennedy, The Robotic Richard Simmons, and Forbush Man.

They were an item in the Ultimate Avengers DTV movies (and maybe The Ultimates comic too, not sure). The Next Avengers movie was kind of based on those movies, but the visual references were to the classic comic versions.
