I'm just going to say it. Dark Avengers was a GREAT run! It's up there with recent titles like All-Star Superman, Bendis & Bru's Daredevil, Morrison's Batman and Batman & Robin, and Wednesday's Comics. It was just a great super hero comic. Well done Marvel.

I've read them all ..., but issue 16, which came out today.
Sad to see it go , myself. The Story Arc's with Doom , and MoleculeMan were Fantastic. I also liked the chemistry and conflicts with-in the Team itself.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

the final issue was the best of the Siege books and is really the final period on what Mavel's done since Avengers Disassembled. A lot better than the bloated New Avengers finale that's really a bunch of meaningless double-page spreads with tons of exposition.
It's like someone at Marvel read Blackest Night and decided to prove we can do spreads and splashes, too. But unlike Blackest Night the spreads and splashes have very little story content.
I may like Cap's, er I mean, Steve Rogers' new role in the MU. It really is a logical progression, if they aren't going to use Rogers as Cap. Sure will be confusing next summer when the Cap movie comes out and Rogers isn't in the uni.Comment

Looking forward to reading the final issue. Can't wait to see where Norman pops up again next. Perhaps it's time for the Spider-man editorial office to take back control of the character and hopefully see him used with the same sense of danger and ambiguity that Warren Ellis, Brian Bendis and Mike Deadoto have imbued him with in the past few years on Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers.Comment

Hokey Smokes!
Just read the final issue and it was a really nice send-off. Kudos to Marvel and the creative for knowing when to end the book. I'm sure it could have continued on in some for or another, but the sixteen issues was a good run and it's always best to get out while you are on top.
I do hope Bendis or Ellis gets to write Norman Osborn again in the future.
Norman's final monologue was pitch perfect. Very "Nixon".Comment
