    Family Guy: Aquaman Gag

    Anyone else catch this tonight?

Kudos that they got Aquaman's alter ego of Arthur Currey right.

They do have a point about the ridiculousness of him actually having a secret identity.

Missed it, but I LOVED the other time they ripped on him, about 'misusing his powers' by having his fish companion getting him a 'Dewers&Soda', but "try and keep the salt water out of it"...

    "PRICELESS..!"

It reminded me as a kid reading a "Secret Identity" quiz and stumbling on the Aquaman part. It seemed completely foreign to me as to why he'd have one, he was a public figure.

I don't think Aquaman's identity was secret, Arthur Curry was just his real birth name. That was before all the gobbledy-gook Orin crap.

^Bingo--not strictly an alter-ego, just his civilian name. It was even mentioned in an old JLA story that Aquaman had no secret identity.

                        Funny gag, though.

I think that was the premise of JLA #122 or around there....something with Dr. Light and Amnesium...I have the issue but it's buried. The cover showcases Aquaman's gravestone and the other members lamenting that they didn't know who he was...

Hmmm. I'm thinking of an earlier Fox story fr. my Archive ed.--I'll have to look it up.

The Dr. Light story sounds neat, though.
