X-Men Who's Dead Now How? *spoilers*

My own fault for only reading Uncanny X-Men during a multi-title crossover.

How did Nightcrawler die? I always loved this character, but it just tells you the state of the X-Men Universe when I'm so indifferent to this issue that opens with all the X-Men standing over his dead body.

It's like... who's turn is it to be dead this week in the X-men world? We'll bring back Colossus from the dead, but get rid of Kitty. We bring Kitty back but we kill Nightcrawler. When it's time for Nightcrawler to come back we'll choose another X-Man out of the hat to be dead.

Who HASN'T died and come back at this point? I even see Cypher/Doug Ramsey is running around again! How the hell did he return from the dead?

Why even resort to this stunt to give this Event "Meaning"?

I kind of wished X-Men had crossed over into Blackest Night at this point.

I haven't read the book yet ....
However all lead ups considered ..., this is my possible theroy ..., but it might be f'ed up, and wrong, you know Marvel.


Since the Start of 2nd Comming ...
Nightcrawler was put on an Extraction Team... ( to get to Hope and Cable 1st) with Logan, Angel And X-23 ... with a couple of others. ... NightCrawler watched X-23 Basically take someone's head off , and well freaked out. Looked at Logan for answers..., Logan kinda told him about The New X-force, and all the work they had done ..., That really upset Kurt. Kurt called Cyclops..., and told him off, and So he kinda quit, for a couple of panels ..., Psylocke talked him back in, and told him he could quit afterwards.

In the Next Book ..., for the 2nd extraction mission ( because ofcourse the 1st was failed) ,..The Purifiers show up with this gun engineered to take away a Mutants Powers ..., They fire it on Kurt ..., thus leaving him imoble , without his powers ..., laying in the Street. He was targeted because of his Powers, and the Purifiers don't want Him taking off with Hope.

I'm about 4 books out ...., that's what I got up to.
So imo ..., with no Powers, Kurts gonna get picked off.
He was on the cover ..., or rather advertisement add for the series, saying something like " 1 will fall" ..., or something. I thought it was going to be Cable...., Not NightCrawler.


The X-men in General have become something entirerly different the last 3to5 yrs or so ..., ever since The Scarlet Witch Basically erased 95% of them off of the planet ( Mutants) ......, Someone that Thinks Like Kurt, with the Boy Scout acts of Superman, Probably just isn't gonna last very long.

Haven't read mainstream X-books in years.....just the stuff that seems to stand alone and doesn't cross-over into a million books....The Grant Morrison run, Joss Whedon's Astonishing, the current Warren Ellis/Phil Jimenez run....

I'm a bit behind on Ellis' stuff, but I was enjoying the Ghost Box storyline, particularly that Steampunk alternative universe X-Men.

From what I can gather, Nightcrawler sacrificed himself for Hope, the Mutant messiah.

So how did Doug Ramsey come back in Necrosha?

Give it time.... Say; didn't they kinda start this direction in the Marvel Zombies books, part 2 I think.... when you discover the hunger wears off?

Hopefully Warlock is back in that kind of whimsical form where he would turn into Gumby and stuff, not the grim 'n gritty that marked his previous revival.

I think it pretty much said it all when Warlock was the first to be offed when Liefeld came in.
