I love the Hulk,I like the work of Herb Trimpe and Joe Sinnott,I like what they did and I admit that what came later was less interesting for me...I kinda lost interest around number 250...The battles between Hulk and Thing are the best for me.

While I don't consider this to be the definitive Hulk, it is one of my favorite Hulk covers by Steranko.

Steranko's Hulk was sooooooooooo awesome!!! I did hate that they changed his face with the nice/handsome Marie Severin face. At the time, Stan thought the face was too scary looking and he wanted the Hulk to be good looking. I always loved Steranko's Hulk as a kid, he was scary and wild. Something how the Hulk was tall and lanky appealed to me, I don't know if any other artist could have pulled this off. As good as this cover is, my absolute favorite picture Steranko ever did of the Hulk was in a panel in the issue of Captain America #110. It was at the bottom of page 4(?) when the Hulk's hands crash through the wall. It was amazing that even as a kid when I saw these hands, the Hulk seemed to be in a wild raging frenzy. I was scared for Cap...I really was. Just because of those hands!!!!

Too bad I can't find a pic of it on the internet, but the cover is almost as awesome!

I read a lot of the stories Trimpe drew, but it was in reprints and back issues I bought later. he had a distinctive style, but I favor Buscema's work on the character.

Both are known for their work on Hulk and both were respected pros, so who's better is a subjective choice at best in my opinion.

I really enjoyed both Dale Keown and Gary Frank's art on the book during Peter David's writing run on the book. A lot of good stories there, too.

Two of my favorite Hulk stories were Hulk Annual 7 with Iceman and Angel drawn by Byrne with inks by Layton and Hulk annual 8 written by Byrne with Buscema/Alaca art where Hulk fought Sasquatch of Alpha Flight fame. my copies of those were ragged I read them so much.

Well said, Sal's Hulk was definitely a great "classic" Hulk.

Alfredo was awesome with Sal and it reminded me of Ernie Chan on Sal's art. A great 70's Hulk with a ton of raw power.

Yes, I also agree with you that Trimpe and Sal both being the definitive Hulk artist and it's anyone choice. But you must remember, it was Sal who took the foundation of which Trimpe laid on the Hulk and copied it. The look of the modern Hulk had already been established and Trimpe was the guy who established it. A funny thing for both these artists was that they both could produce a ton of work in such a short amount of time. Another reason they both stayed on the issue for so long and always got work.

Yes, Frank and Keown art great artists in their own right, but I hate modern artists. So....

Both of those Annuals are just classic Hulk stories and both are amazing in their own right! Early John Byrne was soooo sick!!!! I actually consider Hulk Annual 8 in the top 10 greatest Hulk stories ever written. Roger Stern was such a good writer of the Hulk and could well be in the top 3 Hulk-scribes ever!! He just get's it.
