Nick Fury not in Thor Movie

SAMUEL L. JACKSON is disappointed producers left him out of the upcoming THOR movie - because he believed rumours his character NICK FURY would make an appearance in the blockbuster.

The Pulp Fiction star made his debut as comic book icon Fury in a short scene at the very end of Iron Man, and he is set to reprise the role in the sequel.

His character is also due to appear in The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers, and Jackson admits he was surprised to have been left out of Thor - because a flurry of press stories linked him to the film.

He tells Iesb.net, "I thought I was (in Thor). They said I was in the trades, and I was like, 'Oh, I've got a job!'

"And then, I called my agent and she said, 'Nah, you're not in it. They misprinted'. I was like, 'Well s**t, they need to pay me just 'cause they put my name in it'."

Fury doesn't seem to meld with Thor as well as Cap or Iron Man, I guess. So I suppose in Avengers maybe Thor will join of his own accord, or some such.

I'd actually like to see a Nick Fury movie with Sam Jackson. They could make a SHIELD movie with him pretty painlessly, I think.

I know that the Ultimate Nick Fury that looks like Jackson likely isn't a WWII vet, but it'd be wild if they digitally de-aged him and made him a Tuskegee Airman for the Cap film.

            I'm sure Hasselhoff is available.

I'd take Hasselhoff over Sam Jackson.

The Sam Jackson thing doesn't bug me. I do like that Marvel is using him across multiple movies to tie them together.

I've accepted Jackson as Fury, and I like the way they are using him to bridge the movies.

In a way, I guess Marvel owes him, since they used his likeness in Ultimates without his blessing, and then made animated movies, action figures, etc.

^ I thought Marvel DID have Jackson's permission to use his likeness when they revamped the Ultimate Nick Fury (previously the Ultimate version was a white guy just like the 616 universe)...

Nah, it just looked like Jackson and then they basically went and cast him in the role.

For a while there they started to make it look less like Jackson, then went back to making him more once SLJ was on board.
