This might be someone we've never seen before. But Johns did say at the San Diego Con last summer that he would get around to Krona.

What Guy, Atrocitus and Sayd agreed on must have something to do with Carol or Coast City from the line about ruining his relationship with Hal. I'm thinking they are lookink for the Predator entity, which might put them at odds with the Sapphires and Carol and Hal.
It will be interesting to see if they do bring back the Controllers after taking them out so easily in Blackest Night. Whatever happened to the Zamarons after they mated with the Guardians?

I'm assuming Guy is headlining Emerald Warriors, with John joining Kyle in GL Coprs? Hopefully JL Generation Lost will feature Guy as well. I'm liking the direction they have been going with him in the past couple of years, hopefully they won't ever revert back to the cardboard cutout he used to be (although it was good for chuckles).

Back to GL #53, I was intrigued by the new big bad they're setting up....someone that served the Guardians before the Manhunters and GL Corps....I'd almost say Krona but he was an actual Guardian (or Maltusian whatever they were before they were Guardians).
And apparently this new dude is the one who whisked away the Parallax entity and has room reserved for the rest of the spectrum.

I see you got some of those con figures, good deal.
You've got good eyes, but they were anything but a good deal. I'm a sucker. I've been picking them up here and there on ebay, making some guys' day.

The latest set of Blackes Night figures came out Wednesday — Kyle, Blackhand, BL Firestorm and BL Wonder Woman.

DC Direct also announced two new sets that will be out in like December or January. — Luthor, Mera, Scarecrow, Arkillo, Atom, and 4 others I can't remember off the top of my head.

    email me your address

The Zatanna, Wonder Woman and Batgirl night-on-the town issue is excellent. When you start to realize where it's going and what Zatanna is up to, you know that Johns isn't the only DC writer at the moment who knows how to make continuity and great stories from the past work for him.
Yeah that issue was just freakin' great, got done reading it and I was blown away...really really good story!

I really have high hopes for Superman and Wonder Woman.
Me too....James Robinson on Supes and Gail Simone on WW have left me cold...but I'll be getting back into the mix with JMS on board.

Anthony, I know Superman hasn't been your cup of tea of late, but be sure to check out the free comic book day issue of War of the Supermen. Retailers got their copies last Wednesday, and it's a pretty good throw down between Superman (in costume) and Zod. Eddie Barrows' art looks sharp to me.

    See above....

See man ..., I don't think so at all ..., There's just way too many characters that interest me in that world ..., and I look at all the Batman titles right now ..., and I can't stand any of them, with the exception of Red Robin, the Ras arc is Fantastic.

There's just more with GL ...., When it was all slammed in Corps ..., there were like 3to4 different stories being told, between the different Lanterns ..., that took 7 to 10 issues to rap ..., with 3 books, I would expect them to maybe go threw arc's of 3 to 5 Books , and deliver the stories a bit faster.

I haven't read Secret Six in ages and I've been out of the Supes loop for a while, but I guess I should get back in as Brainiac and the Legion interests me.

Some of my Best books right now ....
The Last Stand on New Krypton Story Rocks !
I've never left the Six...., It's so Awesome.

I wanted to mention JMS' work on Brave and the Bold....I think this is really a hidden gem for DC....worth checking out.
I buy Brave & Bold here and there ..., been getting into the cartoon 1 too.
I also really like Teen Titans. I think it really picked up as of late ..., and I think it's Bennett that's been drawing it ..., and I love his work, and the Ravager back-up story.

    Awesome collection Terry !!!
I see you got some of those con figures, good deal.
There's some great GL merchandise comming out this yr Too !!!

A little worried about the new Direction of Boostergold ..., but think and Hope I will still enjoy it.

Most everything else imo, is hit and Mis.

Booster Gold is a favorite as always but with Juregns leaving I too am worried. The good thing is he's handling Booster on the Time Masters series Terry mentioned.

In July, DC's doing a series called Vanishing Point with Booster, Rip, Superman and Hal going into the past to try and rescue Batman. Jurgens is writing and drawing it. It looks pretty good to me.

I'm not sure how much GL will be in Brightest Day, but it's twice a month and then in August the 3rd GL title starring Guy comes on board. So that's 5 titles in 4 weeks of GL and White Lantern material.

I'm also looking forward to DC Universe Legacies and Batman Odyssey. No matter how wacky the story ends up being, I'm excited to see new Batman work by Neal Adams. Maybe, he'll do a GL/GA story next.

I really liked the Carol/Hal/ Sinestro part of GL 53 and the Luthor/LarFleeze page was pretty funny.

While I'm interested in the New Guardians, I really wish Hal didn't have to share his book with them. But I have a feeling Johns interest in writing that group of characters is why he's staying on GL now and not moving on to something else, which is a good thing.
