Going to see the Spock man!

Leonard Nimoy is in Calgary this week for the Calgary comic show on the weekend. The comic show is held in too small of a section of the Stampede grounds, leading to huge crowds, and the inability to really see anything...Not my kind of thing!

Since this is rumored to be Nimoys last run on the convention circuit, I really want to see him...I think I'll drive down to Vulcan and see him there instead.

Any other fellow Albertans attending either show? I think Mego Milk is going to be at the convention itself this year?

I refuse to pay extortion fees for an autograph....not an autograph hound anyways. I'll hang back, see the parade, and listen to his speech...Thats good enough for me.

I've seen Nimoy before...he's a great story teller, and awesome Guy.

Love the fact that he's on Fringe now. Great that he got to be in the New Star Trek as well.

Travelled to Vulcan to see Leonard Nimoy today. It was interesting. Wish I could say it was fun, but the little town was overwhelmed with people...probably tripled the towns population. Worse yet...all the media types kept barging to the front of all the lines, making it darn near impossible for the rest of us to see him up close. I tried taking a couple pics...think I got one of his thumb and the back of his head. I linked in some better pics from one of the local papers below, along with an interview he did for the local news last night.

Despite the mostly minor issues, it was kinda cool to see a hero of mine in the flesh. I'm sure the town of vulcan will remember this day for a long time!

Shatner and Adam West are coming to The Trek Expo in Tulsa this summer. Would like to go, but I'm not sure if there is enough room for my ego along with theirs.

Shats and West would be interesting to see at the same show. You know backstage, they'd be like;

Shats; "Look, I'm the Captian, you wear tights. I'll go first..."

West; "Ah, yes you are the Captian, but I'M Batman, old chum."

Shats; "I fought the gorn. You fought a hot chick in black spandex... And didn't even get any."

West; "Oh, you think you could have scored with Catwoman?

Shats; "I dunno, lets go over and ask her. She's sitting right over there, charging some fat kid 100 bucks for a kiss... Oh Julie, dear..."
