Late again...Brave and the Bold animated

Based on some reommendations, I now have the entire first season and am loving this. Working retail I ususally don't have time to watch a lot of TV, but this is a must. I'll have to start using my DVR and reord the new season.

This is just such a fun series and I love how they bring up obscure and hardly used characters and make them relevant. Seriously, B'Wana beast? THat was a cool little intro in the fifth episode. THe animation is crisp and vibrant and the slow-mo's are a nice touch. I generally like the characterization of most of these guys. I'm still not convinced with the Outsider thing, but overall I am highly enjoying these shows.

This may be one of the best if not the premier DC animated series aside from JLU. I can't believe it took me this long to get around to watching. Digging this big time.

    It's fun stuff Scott.

I just watched the new episode with the Spectre short ..., B'Wana Beast, Vixen and Detective Chimp on Fri ..., Some of these Episodes just keep getting better, and better.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

Its outshining JLU for me now, great show. The writers seem to have a real grasp on all of the DCU.

It's a different take than JLU, so I can't really compare the two, and I won't. They are both great. B&B's anything goes attitude is refreshing, and gives us dark, moving episodes like last weeks "Chill of the Night" and this weeks goofy but fun "Gorillas in Our Midsts", and it all works.

I watched the classic BTAS/TNBA episode, "Legends of the Dark Knight" a few weeks ago, and on the commentary, James Tucker (who was the storyboard artist for the Dick Sprang sequence) admits how he'd love to do a series like that sequence. That love really shows on B&B.

What I really like about B&B is that while it's light enough and the plot simple enough my 5 year old can watch and ejoy it I am not bored watching it. In stark (pun intended) contrast is Marvel's Super Hero Squad which is chock full of potty and boogie jokes with really jarring "fanboy" moment quotes for the parent stuck watching it

If anything can save the Super Heroes for today's children it's this show. It's got all the fun of the Super Friends but spun up for today's kids to enjoy.

The last 2 episodes seem to have taken a darker turn. Having Spector, dropping a ceiling on the bad guy in Joe Chill, and turning the bad guy into cheese so the rats could eat him, in last weeks episode, seemed out of line for the cartoon

I'm about halfway through the fist season and I'm floored. The quality and the love of comics is so evident in every shot. I've only seen one stinker episode out of fourteen, so that's a pretty good ratio. I'm hooked now. Once I finish this season, I'll start setting up the DVR to record the new ones. Just wow.

I just got the first season myself. I had previously only seen a few minutes here and there and didn't pay attention.

Now I love it. I'm only on episode 4 but I'm so excited to devour the rest. I hear Robin is in it eventually. Is that season one? I hope so.

Its a great show Scott. doesnt take itself too seriously, has one of the best looking Batmobiles ever, and features all those obscure old time villians I love so much!!! I still havent fully embraced Baders Batman voice....but Conroy's raspy voice wouldnt fit this Batman at all. Adam West might have been cool? Other than that, the shows darn near perfect!!
(Need to follow it up with a Kamandi spin off!!)
