I'm torn between the zombie monster from BTB&B series and the 70@s Hulk like Gundy myself.

But the kind of misunderstood version they did in JLU wasn't bad where hawkgirl had to kill him, when she returned to the justice league after the Thanagarian invasion

Doesn't matter after Starman, as Robinson explained that he's different for every reincarnation.

I prefer the Hulkish semi intelligent monster version that he was up into the '70s. Never cared for the "friendly brute". That was his original incarnation.

Didn't care much for the Starman turn, and definetly didn't like the mastermind from JLA. The recent DC seriesthat lead into Blackest Night was terrible- meandering writing, bad art from Kolins, a train wreck.

DC has the annoying habit of using the same villains over & over until they no longer seem a big deal. Grundy's on that point now of overuse just as Black Adam& the Joker are. He needs to go away for awhile.

Nostalgia-wise, I like the 1970s version when he was Hulkish and could go toe to toe with Superman. Superman 301 and JLA 91 and 92 (I believe) are probably my favorite Grundy stories.

Robinson's story did a nice job of explaining why Grundy's been a little different every time we see him.
