In all fairness, I've seen more out of shape guys in spandex than women. Women usually seem to have a better sense of their own body image than many guys do.

Yeah, the majority of female cosplayers look like models and most of the male ones look like the Tron Guy and yet it's the very few heavy set women that get ridiculed.

I'm a firm believer in costuming as a character who suits you. Wonder Woman will never work as a costume for me, no matter how much I work out. However, someday I hope to be able to dress as Mary Marvel, Black Canary, or Zatanna. That's not happening yet, so I'm doing a second year as Ma Hunkel. I'm not ashamed to say that I love the way the costume turned out and I looked pretty darn good. But this year I'm adding pockets to the cape.
