Well, lots of stuff going on, lots of stuff being set up for future issues. Just a big ad for all the spin-offs though.

The Aquaman, Hawks, & Deadman parts looks interesting, Hawk & Dove seem back to status quo, Firestorm leaves me uninterested as does Jade & Reverse Flash. Could care less about Max Lord. Captain Boomerang got a better hat.

I have a feeling that the Brightest Day isn't going to end very well- or maybe DC has me mind-trained to expect the worst?

Johns stated that some of the Resurrections will work ..., and some will Not. Time will Tell , I suppose.


I Personally am glad to see Hawk back.
I have always liked the character.
Boomerang looks like young fit Boomerang .
Max Lord is Obviously a new Obstical for a Future battle.
Jade was interesting ...., I like Natu so Much better of a character, in the GL Universe...., not sure what to even think there.
Hate the Ronny/Jason Firestorm Idea, but ofcourse Obviously scene it comming.....
Not sure what to even think About Zoom. By my Count, there is Now 2 Zooms in current time, unless the 1 , erased the 1 locked in the Star Labs Prison.

I would like to see A new Aquaman series done the right way, He seems to be back on track now and I love how he is being handled as well Mera, Anyone here want a Mera Dc Figure or am I the only one? come on speak up let dc Know we love Mera.

Aquaman is the the one I'm most excited about!! Can't wait until Issue #1...I hope they get a good Artist!

This issue did set up some cool future stuff I think.

Aquaman has me interested. I really want to see him done correctly and with an artist who can pull off underwater scenery. Finch perhaps?

It's cool to see Hawkman and Hawkgirl in their sort of original forms. I hope DC leaves them alone for a long while and let their relationship play out. The doomed and cursed love is too cliche.

Mattian Manhunter is back, and I love it. He no longer has the cucumber head thing going on and appears to be at peace. He's always been a noble character that sadly has gone mostly unappreciated.

I'm not at all familiar with Deadman, so I really can't form an informed opinion. The white ring/ressurection stuff is a twist I didn't see coming. A character named Deadman is now a giver of life. Did he actually revive Star City or am I missing something?

Professor Zoom and Boomerang are lost on me. Maybe Johns brought them back so the new Flash series has some villains to use. That's the only reasoning I can come up with.

Hawk and Dove I'll have to wait and see. I'm completely in the dark about them and never read anything with them. With Benes doing the book they're in, I'll get the opportunity. His artwork makes almost any book a blind purchase.

I note that in an interview on CBR that Geoff Johns said
"The 12 heroes are the only ones that are alive. Why these twelve? Each one was chosen for a very specific reason, both in and out of comics."

So maybe there are movie or TV interests in say Aquaman or Martian Manhunter that require the character be around? I note that both are Smallville recurring characters, Firestorm is currently on B&B and there are Firestorm action figures on the shelves (and the B&B character echoes the current matrix as well).

Guess nobody in Hollywood loved the Dibnys either "sniff"
