Except they didn't launch Steve Rogers: The Captain into his own series, and USAgent didn't really go anywhere of note after he was booted from Cap role. West Coast Avengers, Force Works a couple of minis before being sent to Canada after being in limbo for a while. I guess he did appear in the iron Man cartoon and got an action figure.
I'm sure their gearing up multiple Cap titles in anticipation of the upcoming film.
I'm really surprised they left Winter Soldier/Bucky as Cap and did this to Steve, rather than doing the oppposite. Costume is very generic and clearly Fighting American inspired - I wish it was Bucky's.
You know they're eventually going to have Rogers back in the traditional outfit. I'll be stunned if it doesn't happen by the movie's release.
It's kinda generic. Plus, no shield? That's his whole fighting style.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
After seeing the full shot of Rogers costume, it ain't bad. Give him the old school cap helmet mask and shield and he'd be a pretty cool update to the Cap costume.
You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks
According to the writer, the high-concept for the Heroic Age status quo he and Marvel talent including Avengers architect Brian Michael Bendis struck upon for how the Marvel Universe would be organized was "Steve Rogers becomes the new Nick Fury of the Marvel Universe."
For some reason the costume reminds me of Airboy. It just gives me a headache to think of anyone else as Captain America other than Steve Rogers. I don't follow DC but have they ever done anything like this with Supes or Batman?
