Should Superman be married to Lois?

the thing that ticks me off about peter and MJ... I get it he's the "everything happens to me" hero, but you know sometimes that's been beaten to death, least with MJ he had someone who knew his secret and was there for him. now he doesn't even have Aunt May as she's posessed by whatever that is.

He's finally an avenger and has a time to be shown a hero but nope..sorry they're outlaws.

I think Superman has weathered the marriage better than Spidey did.

Hmm - I wonder if that because on some level Parker works best as a teen/young adult that kids can relate to, and Superman is essentially kind of a father figure.

I think so. To me, the best spidey stories are 1-100 followed by Roger Stern and Peter David's work in the 1980s. I know that's personal preference, but I think Spidey works better as a single character. And for that matter Mary Jane, too. She is the classic run away from commitment character.

The only thing lost with the Superman/Lois marriage is the idea of Superman being alone in the Universe as the last survivor of Krypton and while trying to be human, he's not, but with the inventon of Supergirl in late 1950s that theme was gone before most if not everyone on this board was born.

Yeah so long as they don't jump the shark and have a baby... or worst yet twins. One with powers the other not. Which of course leads to the inevitable sibling rivalry that tears the family apart and Superman eventually has to take out the evil of the two with a big hunk O' Kryptonite. Or better yet, the one with the super powers ends up not be affected by Kryptonite, gets power mad and takes over the planet. What will be funny is if this story line actually plays out in the next couple of years
