    Principles of Kirby-tech

Ran across this on a comics blog today, thought it was pretty great, I did some of this stuff when I was designing my Fantastic 4 playset.

Satisfactory Comics: Doodle Penance: "jack kirby machines"

Love Kirby Tech. There was a shot of the JLA trophy room during Morrison's run that had a jar of Kirby Dots.

              HAW!

That's AWESOME! But they forgot the "Kirby Crackle;" those weird oscilizing dots that form around any Kirby-esque energy blast.

They actually address that concern (and it's a good concern) in the comments if you follow the link:

"Kirby krackle is a whole different subject, and deserves lengthy attention. Maybe we'll cover that in a subsequent penance post. I've certainly adjusted my way of thinking about those dots, over the years. I think I'd have something to say about them."

Kirby affected more than one generation of artists and creators. There's an episode of Dextor's Lab that is all Kirbyesque. I know Kirby is in the name of the episode...I just can't remember the name of the episode.

Nope, I could have, but passed on it. However, I used to own this one and another Chapter splash from FF 7 at one time. Its annoying that I didn't get a xerox of the pg 1 at the time.
