    Smallville: Silver Banshee

Anyone seen this yet? Yay or Nay?

Interesting twist in that Banshee wasn't exactly the actress that they announced would be playing the character. Otherwise this one played out like that episode of Three's Company with the misunderstanding in it. And much more sex. You'd think it was sweeps!

It was a light, fun episode with some good character bits. It had the typical rushed Smallville resolution, that didn't honestly make any sense.

        SPOILERS

They showed Silver Banshee burst into flames and disengrate, and then there was ash and bones maybe? What the hell happened to Lois? After the break she was hail and hearty. Very hearty.

Also, was that Durance as the Silver Banshee in full getup? They never showed the rest of her! Was this episode heavily edited due to the online snickers received everywhere when the photos were released?

Not the best episode this season, most likely will end up being the weakest one to date. I would like to see more pics of the actress(es) in costume amyone have more pics?.

That was my complaint about the first two or three seasons of Smallville. I actually didn't get into the show until around Lois' arrival on the show.

I'd bet he did. If I recall, DC pays creators for any media appearance or licensed product their characters appear on, if they were created after 1980 or so. Wolfman and Perez made bank off the Teen Titans toon and associated marketing. DC grandfathered Kirby's Fourth World creations in too, so his estate gets compensated. Chuck Dixon told me personally that the movie Batman and Robin was horrible, but it bought him a house, thanks to it's use of his co-creation Bane.

Wow! Really? Bane wasn't even that integral to the movie and he got paid enough to buy a house? Interesting.

That's what he said. And I believed him. It was at one of his "Dixonverse Dinners" during the Chicago con, and a bunch of us Shooting Star Comics guys were there with Chuck, who was our "patron comic pro".

Batman and Robin actually did good business I believe (at least until word of mouth began to sink it), plus Bane was made into several action figures by Kenner/Hasbro, as well as other toys too. So it all adds up.

So it was probably Bane popping up in multiple venues that gave Dixon the dough to buy the house....not just Batman and Robin....that seems more likely
