Dark Knight: Boy Wonder is rebranded ASBR

So they have announced that All Star Batman and Robin is actually the PREQUEL series in continuity to Dark Knight Returns, and will be renamed Dark Knight: Boy Wonder when it finally returns as a six issue series.

Meh- it was mediocre at best, with only the pretty Jim Lee splash page art adding anything of value to it.

Frank Miller no longer equals quality in my book. exactly the opposite. Thankfully he became unattached to the upcoming Neal Adams Batman series, originally he was slated to write that too but Adams is handling both art & story on it.

In a way, it's kind of refreshing. Because that means the total ****** Batman is off in his own little universe, free of any kind of continuity I gave a hang about.

I'm imagining this might be an indication that the "All Star" brand is going away in favour of the "Earth 1" projects.

Still would love to see the Adam Hughes Wonder Woman in some form or another.

So far the concept art that I saw with the Earth 1 Projects alone blow everything of All Star away. I hope it's good.

Totally agree. Can't wait to read these. I really wanted to like All Star Bats. I could barely get through issue 1.

I don't know, I liked the All Star series....just too damn long in between issues. I read it as just an alternate take on the Bat mythos. Kind of like Elseworlds.

I really liked All Star Superman, given the fact that it was a real throw-back to the Silver Age stuff in that it gave us classic elements to the mythos that we haven't seen in decades... the "nerdy" Clark Kent, Lois being unaware that Clark is Superman, mad scientist Lex Luthor, etc.

I couldn't get past Quintley's BS Design of the Lois Super Woman Costume ..., or Superman wearing Shorts. It ruined the series for me.

I liked All-Star Superman a lot. A Wonder Woman series was promised by Adam Hughes, but I doubt it will ever come out.

Superman always wears shorts, and the Super Lois was a throwaway design used for 1 issue.
