At one time Ross was set to do a Superman/Captain Marvel issue of Superman Adventures, with Timm inking him I believe. It never happened though.

In the interview, Timm stressed that him and Ross were friends, and he was reluctant to speak his mind on his opinion on his art. Another memorable thing he said was something about how Kirby's Galactus was more real to him than Ross' version, since Ross' interpretation looked like his 5'8" tall friend in a cardboard helmet.

I love Ross' stuff, but I got admit, I feel like I've seen just about everything he can do. Nothing surprises me anymore. Maybe it IS that camera.

Alex IMO relies waaaaaaaaaaaay too much on the camera. I remember his Terminator art from Now comics. The art was different as he didn't rely heavily on Photographs as he does now.

This book is really cool. A lot of Superman and Batman covers that were never used.

There is a great re-design of the original Robin costume with a very cool hood on the cape. I'd love to see Black Knight do a custom figure of it along with a box by Anthony.

Just picked this up....I am so p.o'ed that DC didn't go with Ross' Shazam proposal and instead went with Winnick's STUPID! Ross sounds like he had a nice modern take on the Marvel Family! And his addition of Vulcan (i.e. Black Vulcan) as a new member of the Marvel Family was inspired... Ah, what COULD have (and SHOULD have) been...

In fact, reading the notes throughout this book, it seems as though Ross got f'ed over on a lot of his proposals. Maybe that's why he spends so much time working for Dynamite now....
