Breaking News: Superfriends Next Dvd Announced!!

According to TVShowsOnDVD.com. Warner Home Video has officially announced the next SuperFriends DVD set. It is scheduled to come out this summer on July 20 and priced at $26.99.

Not surprisingly, this set is season one volume two and will wrap up the original series from 1973, so for those who like the Wendy, Marvin, and Wonder Dog era, mark your calendars, and save your cash. Also not surprisingly, this set will be like the last one, with the remaining 8 episodes and the only extra feature will be another interactive Trivia Game Challenge.

At least will get "Gulliver's Gigantic Goof" with Green Arrow and the "Planet Splitter" with Superman's origin. The box art is a blue background and it has the Super Powers designs of Jose Garcia Lopez with Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman on the cover ALONG WITH THE FLASH AND GREEN ARROW!!!

So anyway, that's the news. All that will be left after this set will be the World's Greatest SuperFriends from 1979 and the 1980 and 1981 shorts.
    Keep em coming WB.

    Cheers.

I still haven't bought volume 1 as I haven't finished "The Lost Episodes" yet. I'll probably wind up buying both sets together. I really hope "World's Greatest" is next. That had some of the best episodes.

I wish they would have more congruent cover art for these. The modern look of the cover design clashes with what's inside on the DVD's.

The cover art should mimic the title card of the opening titles.

Agreed. And back when the Super Powers Team Galactic Guardians came out, the box art design of the characters was more along the lines of the Alex Toth SuperFriends. Whoever came up with the designs of these two shows obviously had them mixed up.
            Very strange.
